Day Eight

We are sooo looking forward to Daddy coming home tomorrow! Vincent and I have had a great week together. We've spent so much awake time learning such things as: eating fast can lead to spit-ups, which, in turn, lead to changing into clean outfits while the dogs lick the floor, the optimal time for a poo-thru* is after a warm bath, and yes, hiccups can spontaneously erupt during sleep.

Since taking care of Vincent by myself, our daily routine is solely based on which area of the house we are in: mornings are in the living room, afternoons are in the study, and evenings are upstairs. Of course he doesn't care where he eats, poops and cries. At this point the "routine" is more to my benefit more than his. Having a calm baby is a blessing - but it also begs me to take random photos of him when I'm bored.

*Poo-thru - (poo-throo); the ability of an infant or toddler to defecate at a mass and velocity that exceeds a diaper's capacity ie: "My goodness Susie, your clothing and bouncy seat have crap smeared all over them! - you must of had a poo-thru!"
