Vincent has such a personality! I remember my cousins recently telling me, "Vincent is going to have the best sense of humor growing up with you and Edwin!" Of course I took this as a compliment and lately this flattering remark seems to be ringing true! Vincent is such a smiley baby. There are several incidences that have me questioning if he is on the verge of a comic genius.

Two examples:

A few nights nights ago, we were about to go sleep and Edwin went to change Vincent's diaper. I was exhausted but still able to hear the baby monitor. Suddenly, Edwin's voice (in a higher octave) filled our bedroom, "Hey Buddy, you need changing? Was'sup?"

Then the sounds of everyday parenting infiltrated our bedroom: Vincent grunted as he was being placed on the changing table, a "shreek....shreek" sound came when the diaper wings were unfolded... and then the most wonderful thing. I hear Edwin blowing on Vincent's stomach to achieve the "zzzzeeerbit" affect...

Silence.

Edwin then giggles... and suddenly I hear a loud laughter coming from Vincent that made me sit up.

"zzzzeeeeeeerbit"

"heee teee heee uh. hee tee heee uh"

Then I laugh, then Edwin laughs. Then,

"zzzzzeeeeeeerbit"

"heee teee heee uh, hee tee hee uh"

This rotation lasted a good five minutes. I didn't want to move for fear the moment would be lost. But I imagined our little guy having the time of his life wondering why daddy was tickling his belly and why it made him create such a relieving sound of fun.

Second example:

It was 9:30 pm (30 minuted past Vincent' s bedtime). Vincent had been fed, changed, burped, cuddled and loved, but still his grunts and coos were sounding through the baby monitor into our bedroom. Edwin eventually crawled out of bed and went to the nursery. Shortly thereafter, I arrive and see Vincent being rocked by Edwin in the rocking chair. I quietly whispered to Vincent, " Oh Vincent, you know exactly what's going on... you aren't tired... you just want to be held. You just want mommy and daddy to be here." At that moment, Vincent created an open-mouthed grin and started laughing,

"heee teee heee uh. hee tee heee uh"

I go on, "You have mommy and daddy wrapped around your finger!"

"heee teee heee uh. hee tee heee uh"

"Whatever you want, we will do!"

"heee teee heee uh. hee tee heee uh"

It was fantastic and at the same time: kinda scary.
